Through the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), Southside Food Pantry provides a box of nutritious food each month to low income seniors that are 60 years old and over.
Program participants are given a highly nutritious food box, depending on their nutritional needs as determined by the USDA. The packages may include canned fruits, vegetables and juices, dry and UHT milk, American cheese, canned meat, peanut butter or dried beans, cereal, rice or pasta.
Qualifying participants must be seniors at 130% poverty level.
Eligible clients are required to provide recently postmarked mail with the client's name and address, knowledge of current gross monthly household income, and picture ID.
If you qualify, you can register for the Commodity Supplemental Food Program through Southside Food Pantry. If you think you or someone you know is eligible for the CSFP program, please come in and speak with Barb Winner for more information.
